Dr. Austin Bourgeois received his medical degree from the University of Alabama and his residency training at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. He then completed a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the Medical University of South Carolina. His areas of interest include the minimally invasive treatment of liver tumors, uterine fibroids, venous disease and complex IVC filter removal. He has published dozens of scientific manuscripts and book chapters on these topics and is an invited lecturer both in the US and abroad. Dr. Bourgeois is actively involved in the Society of Interventional Radiology and is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology. He and his wife Emily live in Huntsville with their three children Davis, Jack, and Blair.
