- Pediatrician with Sub-specialty Certification in Allergy & Immunology and Masters in Public Health. Dr. Kourosh has a diverse clinical background and enjoys both hospital and outpatient work. She has always had a deep interest in international public health and developing world medicine and has traveled widely in Asia, Africa and the Americas since 1992, engaging in volunteer medical service both independently, and through service organizations such as Curamericas, International Medical Corps and Health for Humanity. She enjoys working in clinical pediatrics, Allergy& Immunology and public health, and is involved with multiple volunteer advocacy opportunities, with special focus on pediatric obesity, injury prevention, environmental health, and international health development and social media activation of trainees. She is also a Registered Yoga Teacher with experience in applying yoga therapy in the clinical setting and in applying principles of Integrative Holistic Health in both her clinical practice and in Holistic Health Consulting for other Healthcare Institutions. Dr. Kourosh also has special training and experience in Distaster Relief and Wilderness Medicine. She is passionate about helping trainees and health professionals activate and advocate on social media and use this valuable tool to promote health, inform the public about true science facts, and engender collaboration across disciplines. She has served in a Social Media training role with Baylor College of Medicine & Texas Children’s Hospital, Texas Pediatric Society, University of Washington Department of Global Health, and Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility. Her passions included dance, fitness and outdoor sports, healthy cooking and baking and learning new languages.
