Dr. Ashok Rai is a General Surgeon based in Anchorage, AK. He completed his surgical residency at the University of Maryland between 1981 and 1986. Dr. Rai graduated from Armed Forces Medical College Pune in 1976 and earned his MS in Surgery from the Post Graduate Institute from 1976 to 1978. He also holds the FRCS(E) from the Royal College of Surgeons, England, obtained between 1978 and 1981. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) since 1986 after completing the third surgical residency @ Prince George Hospital Center, Cheverly, MD ( 1981-1986 ). In solo practice since - initially in Maryland till 1999& currently in Anchorage, Alaska since 2000. Switched from Laparoscopic to Robotic abdominal surgery in 2016!
