Summary
- I am a board-certified pediatrician and pediatric hematologist-oncologist and uniquely the rare trifecta of pediatric oncology: pediatric high-risk B-ALL survivor, turned pediatric hematologist-oncologist, and sadly became a pediatric oncology mom to our son diagnosed with brain cancer during my fellowship training. I am intrigued by the wide-breadth of hematology/oncology and enjoy reading, figuring out a good medical mystery case, and am particularly clinically interested in Cytopenias, Oncology, and Survivorship. From a quality improvement perspective, I serve on our Sepsis Steering Committee, and I am passionate about improving early recognition of sepsis to optimize patient outcomes. My personal experiences drive my willpower and dedication in this field, and although unfortunate in significant ways, provide the fortune of relatable healing through true sympathy with my patients and their families.
