Summary
- My cover letter.
Dear Sir/Madame,
I am responding to your ad with ASCO for a position of Medical Oncologist.
I graduated in 1992 from Neoplastic disease program under Dr. James Holland at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York, NY 10029. I am board certified in Medical Oncology.
I joined West Virginia University as Assistant Professor in the Division of Hematology Oncology of the Department of Internal Medicine in July 1992. I worked there till 1997. I was involved in teaching of medical student and resident as well as in research.
Due to family reasons, I moved back to New York state in 1998. I have been in active practice of Hematology and Medical Oncology since then until at present. During this period, other than gaining experience in Hematology and Oncology, I learnt the medial economic and the business side of practice of Medical Oncology too.
Presently, I am working as Medical Oncologist in Greater Hudson Valley Health System. I cover their two campuses; Orange Regional Medical Center in Orange county, Middletown, NY and Catskill Regional Medical Center in Sullivan county, Harris, NY
I continued my research interest and clinical work in the field of Medical Oncology.
My most recent work was with Dr. Raza, at Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center, Columbia University, New York, NY.
I would like to pursue my interest in the field of Medical Oncology. I have vision, thoughts, strength of working hard and pursing research ideas in Medical Oncology. I am liked by my patients and by my peers.
I am attaching my cv for your kind consideration. Please allow me to have opportunity of working as a Medical Oncologist in your facility.
Thank you,
Arvind Kamthan, M.D.
