- Dr. Anu Parameswaran is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in medical dermatology. She manages numerous skin conditions in adults and children.
She was raised in New York and received her medical degree from the University at Buffalo, graduating magna cum laude. During medical school, she received both the Gold Humanism Honor Society award for being a role model for exceptional patient and clinical care and the John Paroski MD Memorial Award for compassion and excellence in patient care. She furthered her training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital, as well as at the University of Massachusetts, where she had the honor of serving as chief dermatology resident.
Prior to joining our practice, Dr. Parameswaran was an Assistant Professor at the NYU Department of Dermatology, where she established a hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) specialty clinic, co-founded the Skin of Color division, and supervised and taught residents and medical students. In addition, she co-managed the inpatient dermatology service in Brooklyn, where she had the privilege of caring for hospitalized patients with severe skin disease. Outside of work, Dr. Parameswaran enjoys spending time with friends and family, going to the beach, biking, and exploring new restaurants. Dr. Parameswaran’s goal is to ensure that all her patients feel safe, heard, and well cared for.
