- Dr. Anu Brixey is an Assistant Professor of Radiology in Portland, OR and works for the Portland VA Healthcare System and Oregon Health & Science University. She received her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in 2005, followed by an internal medicine residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and a pulmonary/critical care fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She practiced as a pulmonary/critical care attending for 4 years after deciding to pursue her passion for thoracic imaging and retrained as a radiologist at Oregon Health & Science University after which she began her faculty career in radiology. Dr. Brixey loves to correlate imaging findings with the clinical picture. She is currently the chief of cardiac imaging at the Portland VA and is building a cardiac imaging program from the ground up. Her primary interests are in interstitial lung disease, resident education, lecturing, and especially in teaching as she won the 2021 teacher of the year award. She has multiple publications and over 100 citings.
