- Dr. Antonio "Sergio" Torloni is a double board certified pathologist at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center , AZ. He received his medical degree from University of Brasilia Medical School and an M.S. degree in Advanced Cell Therapy and Regenerative Medicine from the University of Barcelona . He has been in practice 30 years. He specializes in Apheresis, Blood banking & Transfusion Medicine, Transplantation immunology, and General Clinical Pathology with special interest in coagulation and a passion for teaching and computer animation i medicine.
He is Director of the Stem Cell Laboratory, Blood Bank and Therapeutic Apheresis at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Phoenix Arizona. . He has authored several peer reviewed papers, been Editor of several book chapters, and co-editor of several publications including FACT standards. and is well known lecturer nationally and internationally. I currently participate in CAR-T therapy in several clinical trials. He has been a FACT inspector for 20 years.
