As your internist, he will help you navigate the complexities of health care to obtain optimal health through such services as genetic screening and wellness plans. He also offers seminars and activities to promote health, including organized outdoor activities with him and the staff as well as recommended reading lists. Dr. Bernens provides a practice where doctor and patient build better health together.
  
  At the membership-based practice, patients receive a high level of personalized and customized care that goes above and beyond what standard health insurance and corporate medical practices provide. Patients pay a membership fee monthly or annually to cover all services that don’t typically fall under insurance plans, such as educational health services and wellness seminars. Insurance is still billed for any covered services.
