Summary
- I am Board Certified in both the Obstetrics & Gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery (Urogynecology). I primarily treat pelvic floor disorders and perform minimally-invasive surgeries from vaginal, laparoscopic, and robotic approaches. I also perform hysterectomy for other benign indications. The general goal of my professional interests and research is to find innovative outreach, clinical care, and surgical solutions to improve our ability to care for women with injured, fibrotic or absent pelvic floor and vaginal tissue. My primary focus is on women who have childbirth-related pelvic floor disorders. This includes obstetric anal sphincter injury, urogenital and rectovaginal fistula, and other perineal, vaginal, and vulvar injuries. I also have experience working with women who have been circumcised and either have a pelvic floor disorder and/or questions and issues related to their vulvar scar tissue. I am also growing in my involvement with women affected by gynecologic cancer.
