Dr. Dunlop completed her medical school education at the Mayo Medical School and residencies in Family Medicine and Preventive Medicine and Public Health at Emory University School of Medicine, where she is now a Professor and faculty physician. Her areas of expertise include women's and maternal health, adverse pregnancy and birth outcomes, preconception and interconception care, with a focus on ameliorating disparities. She leads clinical trials of interventions aimed at reducing severe maternal morbidities in the prenatal and postpartum period and together with colleagues at Emory leads an observational maternal-child cohort studying lifecourse environmental exposures and pregnancy and child health outcomes. In 2014-2015, she was distinguished by the Georgia Department of Public Health as a Maternal-Child Health Champion and continues to strive to improve maternal and child health in the state of Georgia through health care and public health policy and practice.
