- Ann Kellams, MD, IBCLC, NABBLM-C is a pediatrician and Professor of Pediatrics based in Charlottesville, VA, and is Board Certified by the North American Board of Breastfeeding and Lactation Medicine as well as an Internationally Board-Certified Lactation Consultant. She graduated from the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine in 1995 and completed her pediatric residency at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 1998. Dr. Kellams specializes in newborn care and breastfeeding and lactation medicine. Her NIH-funded research has been published in various journals including Pediatrics, and Academic Medicine, and JAMA. Her research focuses on matnernal and child health, safe sleep and infant feeding, and interventions to promote health equity. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, has been inducted into the American Pediatric Society, is an alumnus of the Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine fellowship (ELAM) out of Drexel University, and is a graduate of the Physician Leadership Development Program (PLDP) through the Association for Medical School Pediatric Department Chairs (AMSPDC).
