- Angela Camfield, MD, MS, FASA is a locum tenen physician anesthesiologist at Oklahoma Children’s Hospital at OU Health. She completed her residency in anesthesiology at the University of Minnesota and her fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at Indiana University Purdue University at Indiana Riley Hospital for Children. Dr. Camfield is an active East District Director for the Florida Society of Anesthesiologists (FSA), member of the Committee for Pediatric Anesthesiology, the Membership Committee, and the Planning Committee for the 2023 annual meeting, and has presented in the FSA’s “Hot Topics in Pediatric Anesthesia” webinar series and 2022 annual meeting MOCA lectures. Most recently Dr. Camfield participated in the panel "Independent Contractor vs. Employee" at the ASA Advance 2023 Business Event. She is an active member of the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia, the Congenital Cardiac Anesthesia Society, and the Society for Pediatric Pain Medicine. Dr. Camfield is board certified by the ABA in both General and Pediatric Anesthesiology and is a peer reviewer for Anesthesia and Analgesia, the Journal of the International Anesthesia Research Society. She is also an author and editor for StatPearls. Dr. Camfield has been in practice for 18 years, legislatively advocates for physician-led care, and strongly supports advances in quality and safety of patient care. Her interests include multi-system inflammatory syndrome in children, propofol-induced second-degree heart block, anesthetic effects on disease state, and malignant hyperthermia.
