Summary
- I am a board-certified hematologist-oncologist with experience in clinical research and bioinformatics. I completed a combined MD/PhD at University of Washington in the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP). For my PhD, I studied population genetics of human copy-number variation, generating three first author publications and multiple middle author publications. I developed an interest in hematology-oncology because of the translational potential of basic research to therapeutics in the field. I completed my internal medicine residency at University of Washington followed by clinical fellowship in hematology/oncology at the National Institutes of Health. For my fellowship research, I studied alternative splicing in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma using a combined bioinformatic and bench experiment approach, resulting in a poster presented at American Society of Hematology (ASH) 2022. I am presently a staff clinician at NIH working in CLL clinical trials.
