- Dr. Andrew Yang is an inpatient attending psychiatrist and Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University, NY. He received his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed both a transitional year in internal medicine and surgery at the University of Maryland Midtown Campus as well as a residency in psychiatry at Nassau University Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident for Academics. His clinical interest lies in the comprehensive treatment, including supportive/psychodynamic psychotherapy and psychopharmacology, of psychiatrically complex patients, with a special focus on comorbid mood, anxiety, substance, and personality disorders. Dr. Yang is passionate about teaching and making psychiatric concepts accessible to patients, families, professionals, and trainees from all disciplines.
