- Andrew Sokol, MD is an internationally recognized expert in Urogynecology & Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery, based in Washington, DC. He completed his residency at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University, and fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Dr. Sokol is a Professor of Ob/Gyn and Urology at Georgetown University. He is the past President of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists AAGL). He is an expert in pelvic floor surgery, including prolapse, urinary incontinence, urethral diverticula and fistulae. He has contributed significant research and publications in his field and has also participated in important clinical trials. Dr. Sokol's dedication to his profession is recognized through various awards including the President’s Award for Outstanding Research in Gynecologic Surgery and the Golden Apple Teaching Award.
