Dr. Andrew Smith is the Chair of Radiology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. His expertise is in both adult and pediatric body and oncologic imaging, artificial intelligence in imaging, and entrepreneurship. He completed a diagnostic radiology residency and abdominal fellowship from the Cleveland Clinic and practiced adult body and oncologic radiology for 14 years prior to transitioning to pediatric imaging at St. Jude in 2024. Dr. Smith is the inventor on 30 patents, has developed and validated numerous AI solutions for radiology, and has played a key role in facilitating FDA clearance for multiple AI imaging tools. He is also the founder of three startups, each focused on advancing different aspects of AI in medical imaging.
