Summary
- I am a Board Certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist who complete his clinical training at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in NYC in 1994 (Richard Berkowitz - Chair).
In addition to my clinical practice in Saddle River, NJ, from 2000-2020, I served as the Chief of Obstetrics at Hackensack University Medical Center and as the Chairman of the Quality Assurance Committee for the Partnership for Maternal Child Health of Northern New Jersey. I served as the co-chair of the New Jersey Perinatal Quality Collaborative (NJPQC) driving quality improvement and perinatal safety measures in maternal health in the state.
I believe my credentials and drive for maternal and child health care, outcomes and equity aligns with the mission and value and the vision of the Perinatal Quality Collaborative. I consider myself to be an innovative, solutions-driven leader with a focus on implementing state-wide clinical programs and quality initiatives in maternal health and perinatal safety collaboratively. I strive to achieve cultural change and humility, respectful care and transformational goals to improve maternal public health, healthcare practices and outcomes. To execute this vision, I embrace collaboration and consensus building within the diversity and inclusion cultural competency lens.
From 29 years of clinical and medical administrative experience, I have the necessary clinical and administrative leadership skills, educational base and inter-personal skills required to work together to coordinate all the efforts and strategies to reduce maternal mortality and racial and ethnic disparities through our network of colleagues and stakeholders throughout the state and country with the commitment to eliminating racial and socio-economic disparity in health outcomes in our maternal population. He now serves in the role of Director of the Generalist Division, NYU Grossman School of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology under Dana Gossett, MD - chair.
