- Dr. Andrew Dold, MD is a double board certified Orthopedic Surgeon, fellowship-trained in Orthopedic Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy. He treats a variety of sports medicine injuries and conditions, with expertise performing minimally invasive and joint preserving, arthroscopic procedures of the hip, knee, shoulder, and ankle, as well as hip and knee replacement surgery. He is the director of hip arthroscopy and sports medicine at Star Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, based in Frisco, Texas. Dr. Dold is widely considered an expert in biologic therapies including in platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and stem cell therapies for the management of arthritis and other musculoskeletal sports-related injuries. He is the medical director at the Gatorade Sports Science Institute at The Star of Baylor Sports Medicine and Research.
