Summary
- After graduating SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, NY, Andrew attended Psychiatry residency at UCLA-Semel Institute in Los Angeles, CA. Since completing training, he has practiced in a variety of of community psychiatry settings including: Jail diversion programs, wrap-around intensive case management teams, addiction treatment programs, and an FQHC alongside primary care providers. During this time he also completed a 2-year training program in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at the New Center for Psychoanalysis in Los Angeles, CA (recognized by the International Psychoanalytic Association). In November 2024, he completed the ABPM board exam in Addiction Medicine.
His interests are plenty; but primarily lie with community psychiatry, addiction, serious mental illness, psychosis, dual-diagnosis, and working with unhoused/housing threatened individuals in multidisciplinary treatment teams.
