- Dr. Assenmacher’s special interests include sport injuries, shoulder arthroscopy and reconstruction, elbow arthroscopy and reconstruction, knee arthroscopy, ligament and meniscus injuries and athletic hip injuries. He is fellowship trained in Sports Medicine from the Aspen Sports Medicine Foundation in Aspen, CO and Shoulder and Elbow surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He received his medical degree from The University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio and his residency at Henry Ford Hospital System, Detroit, Michigan.
