- Dr. Andre Rosario is a board-certified psychiatrist currently completing his Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine. He has had a unique path to Psychiatry after medical school including experiences as a surgery resident and working in the community as an HIV Health Educator and tester. Specifically, his experience working in the community with black gay men who deal with HIV and substance use has been formative in shaping his academic interests, which include HIV Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry, black men’s mental health, and LGBTQ+ health.
Dr. Rosario attended undergraduate and medical school at Howard University and completed his Psychiatry Residency at Howard University Hospital. He is a former Yale REACH Scholar and a former Jeanne Spurlock Congressional Fellow with collaborative research published in the Journal of Mental Health, American Journal of Epidemiology, Archives of Sexual Behavior, and Sexual Health.
