- Amy McClintock, MD, is a board-certified physician specializing in family medicine and sports medicine. Dr. McClintock earned her medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine. She completed her family medicine residency with Mercy Hospital St. Louis and completed her sports medicine fellowship with Summa Health System in Akron, Ohio.
Patients of all ages can visit Dr. McClintock for all their primary care needs, including routine preventative care, high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, colds and respiratory infections, and acute illnesses. Dr. McClintock also sees both competitive athletes and non-athletes with musculoskeletal complaints. She treats acute injuries such as sprains, sports-related concussions, overuse injuries such as tendonitis and stress fractures, as well as age-related arthritis. She also performs pre-participation exams and can help guide ``return to play`` decisions for ill or injured athletes.
