Summary
- I currently serve as Chief of Endourology and Stone Disease in the Department of Urology and Professor of Urology at Northwestern Medicine.
I am a board certified Urologist specializing in Holmium Laser enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP), the metabolic treatment of stone disease, and complex stone surgery including percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL). My research interests are healthcare quality improvement, narcotic control and improving efficiency/safety of current Endourologic procedures.
I completed my residency training in 2008 at Mayo Clinic Department of Urology and then completed an Endourology fellowship at the Methodist Stone Institute in 2009. From 2009 to 2016 I worked at Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN where I earned the rank of fully professor of Urology and was the Endourology fellowship program director. In July of 2016 I was recruited to Indiana University to be a tenured professor and act as the Methodist Hospital Urology Division chair as well as fellowship director. In December 2020, I was recruited to Northwestern Medicine, where I was the first surgeon in Chicago to perform HoLEP.
