• Amr Abdelgawad, MD is an attending orthopedic surgeon in Maimonides Medical Center. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons. He received his medical degree, Master and PhD in Orthpaedic Surgery from Ain Shams University in Cairo. Dr Abdelgawad described new technique for treatment of Blount’s disease, a new method for intra medullary nail extraction, a new technique for obtaining bone graft, a new technique for fixation of calcaneal tuberosity fracture and a new method of fixation for pediatric distal femur fractures. Dr Abdelgawad has two patents for orthopedic devices.
