Dr. Amir Lotfi is a cardiologist specializing in interventional cardiology, based in Springfield, MA. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Stamford Hospital/Columbia University and his fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at UMass Chan - Baystate. Currently, he serves as the Division Chief at Baystate Medical Center. Dr. Lotfi has extensive experience in atherosclerosis, hypertension, acute coronary syndrome, valvular heart disease, and interventional cardiology. He has authored several publications on topics such as cardiogenic shock, door-to-balloon time, and coronary artery bypass grafting. He has also been involved in clinical trials investigating the effect of remote ischemic preconditioning on atrial fibrillation in coronary bypass surgery patients.
