• Dr. Kamara is a Board-Certified Psychiatric and Family Nurse Practitioner and has vast experience working with individuals of all ages (across life span). Her career in the healthcare field started over 14 years ago. She started her nursing carrier as a Nursing Assistant and over the years she advanced her nursing career to become a Registered Nurse, and then went on to acquire her Doctorate in Nursing Practicing with a focus on Family Medicine and Psychiatry.
  
  
  For Dr. Kamara, being a Psychiatric and Family Nurse Practitioner is more than assessing, diagnosing, and prescribing treatments for her patients; it is about truly understanding the various aspect of her patient's lives that can affect their physical and mental health, and this can only be done through active listening. She truly believes that one's mental health and physical health are equally important.
