    Dr. Jacobs has extensive experience in contraception and adolescent gynecology. From 2011 to 2016, she was the Founder and Director of the Intrauterine Device (IUD) and Contraceptive Implant Service at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore. Dr. Jacobs also has extensive experience and training in managing anxiety, depression and eating disorders in adolescents. She engages individuals, families and therapists in a team approach to address these mental health issues. Dr. Jacobs has presented numerous lectures, seminars and workshops both regionally and nationally on various topics in Adolescent Medicine.

    Dr. Jacobs earned her M.D. from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons (1999) and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemical Engineering from Lehigh University (1994). She completed her Residency in Pediatrics at Montefiore Medical Center (2002) and Fellowship in Adolescent Medicine at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (2006).
