- Alyson Kepple, MD is a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst based in Pittsburgh, PA. She holds a B.S. in Neuroscience from the College of William and Mary and earned her medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 2012. She completed her residency in general adult psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and then completed formal psychoanalytic training at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis (ICP+P) in Washington, DC. Her research has been published in several medical and psychoanalytic journals, with topics ranging from postpartum depression to depression in adolescents and the elderly. She currently maintains a private practice specializing in the treatment of adults with anxiety and mood disorders, substance use problems, OCD, PTSD, psychosomatic disorders, personality disorders, and other mental health problems offering psychiatric evaluation, medication management, psychoanalytic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. She is on the faculty of the Western Pennsylvania Community for Psychoanalytic Therapies where she serves on the curriculum committee and teaches in the psychoanalytic psychotherapy training program. She also serves on the curriculum committee for ICP+P, teaches an advanced psychoanalytic psychotherapy elective for the psychiatry residents at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic of UPMC and provides psychotherapy supervision through the Clinic Without Walls, a low fee clinic in Pittsburgh, PA.
