- Allison Ballantine, MD, MEd, is a professor of clinical pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania. She is also Associate Chief Medical Officer at CHOP King of Prussia Hospital where she has partnered in the clinical design and build of the new hospital. Dr. Ballantine practices clinically as a hospitalist with a focus on the inpatient care of medically complex children.
Dr. Ballantine has led multiple programs and initiatives at CHOP and the University of Pennsylvania. Most recently, before becoming an ACMO, she was a Senior Medical Director and Section Chief of Inpatient Services for the Division of General Pediatrics. She was also founder and co-director of UPenn's Master's in Education for Physicians and other Health Care Providers and served as an associate program director for CHOP’s Pediatric Residency Program.
Dr. Ballantine earned her medical degree from Pennsylvania State College of Medicine. She completed her residency in general pediatrics at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and her master's in Education at the University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
