Summary
- I specialize in Alzheimer's treatment. Treatment starts by an accurate understanding of the cause of the loss of brain neurons. As a physician of medicine, I enthusiastically dedicate myself to understanding and developing specialized knowledge across multiple areas of medicine and science as they relate to the work of dementia prevention. Successful dementia prevention requires a detailed understanding of concepts and principles in the specialties of cardiology, vascular medicine, rheumatology, hematology, oncology, sleep medicine, psychiatry, immunology, neuropathology, neuroradiology, pediatrics, internal medicine, infectious disease, genetics, electrophysiology, neuropsychiatry, and biochemistry. While physicians and providers of health care who dedicate their time to a single branch of medicine will have a much broader understanding of their specific field of study, my specialization into dementia prevention coalesces all the facts that are important to how the brain is damaged and the effects of that damage to the brain and mind.
