- Dr. Richards' journey began at Kansas State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychological Sciences. She spent time conducting research in the Psychology department. Alleen earned her medical degree at Saint Louis University. During her time in medical school, she spent
volunteering at the SLU Cancer Center, as well as
volunteering at the children's hospital. During her time in medical school she also performed clinical research in the pediatrics department at the University of Kansas. Dr. Richards spent three years obtaining her family medicine certification at SLU Southwest Illinois Family Medicine residency program. She is now working for UNC Physicians Network in Kinston, NC. Her focus is on preventative care, managing hypertension and diabetes, and women's health.
