- Dr. Barron attended medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas where she obtained her medical doctorate. She then went on to complete a general surgery internship and residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Parkland Hospital where she was also chief resident. Dr. Barron then completed a fellowship in Breast Surgical Oncology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
She is certified by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery and completed a fellowship in breast surgical oncology at a Society of Surgical Oncology accredited program.
