Summary
- I work at the intersection of medicine, entrepreneurship, translational health policy, population health and public service to help transform American health care delivery and achieve the quadruple aim. I'm fortunate to be an experienced leader of mission-driven teams through periods of growth, uncertainty and high-stakes challenges.
At Oak Street Health, I work as a practicing general internist and Executive Medical Director, where I serve as chief medical officer and co-chief executive over Oak Street Health's largest national division. We are a clinical delivery system focused on service to high-complexity, high-risk seniors and members enrolled in traditional Medicare, Medicare Advantage (C-SNP, D-SNP, I-SNP) and dual-eligible insurance plans.
Nationally, we serve nearly 100,000 patients across 80+ value-based primary care centers (comprised of low-income Medicare and dual-eligible Medicaid/Medicare enrollees) in Chicagoland, Memphis, Jackson (MS), Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, East Texas, Indianapolis, South Bend, Detroit, Flint, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Providence (RI), Atlanta, Birmingham (AL), Charlotte, Raleigh-Durham, Greensboro (NC), Louisville (KY), New Orleans and New York City.
Previously, as CareMore Health's Clinical Design Officer, I serve as national physician lead in the strategic design and implementation of a variety of initiatives in population health, clinical quality improvement, clinical application product development and workforce development. In prior work as CareMore's Northern California Regional Medical Officer, I served as co-chief executive for CareMore's combined health plan and clinical delivery system across two counties in the San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley (Santa Clara and San Benito).
Clinically, I practice general internal medicine and acute care serving super-utilizer, medically complex Oak Street Health patients, spanning the inpatient, post-acute, outpatient and home-based arenas.
