He is the Medical Director of Quality and Emergency Cardiovascular Medicine at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. He is passionate about improving patient care and has been involved in various quality improvement projects.
Dr. Farzad completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at the University of Maryland/Shock Trauma training program in Baltimore, Maryland. He subsequently completed a fellowship in Cardiovascular Emergencies at the University of Maryland School of Medicine before relocating to Dallas.
Dr. Farzad is a dedicated teacher who provides high-quality education to medical students and residents. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor for the Texas A&M College of Medicine and a Core Faculty member for the BUMC EM residency program. He is currently the Associate Editor for the Cardiovascular Section of CorePendium, a state-of-the-art online Emergency Medicine textbook in which he has made contributions to over 25 chapters. He is also the primary editor for ECGWeekly.com, a popular online ECG educational resource with international viewership.
