Overview of Dr. Chidi
I am a thoracic surgeon who cares for people with cancers of the lung and chest, including: thymoma, mediastinal tumors, chest wall tumors, and airway diseases. I also care for patients with tumors that have metastasized, or spread, to the chest from other parts of the body.
I see patients at Memorial Hospital and the David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) in New York City and Memorial Sloan Kettering Nassau on Long Island.
I have a special interest in early cancer detection and serve as Co-Director of MSK’s Lung Cancer Screening Program in which we work with people at higher risk of lung cancer to find and treat suspicious lung nodules before cancer spreads. I am highly trained in using the latest minimally invasive techniques including robotic bronchoscopy, advanced endoscopy, video-assisted thoracoscopy (VATS), and robotic surgery.
