Summary
- Owner and founder of University Dermatology Center. He was the the first Board Certified MOHs surgeon in East central Indiana. He graduated with honors from New York University School of Medicine. After completing Dermatology residency at the world famous Cleveland Clinic, he was employed as a full time faculty member in the department of dermatology at Texas Medical School. He is a recipient of a number of state, national, and international dermatology awards. Dr. Zemtsov is an Associate Professor of Clinical Dermatology at IU School of Medicine. Besides specializing in MOHs and reconstructive plastic surgery, Dr. Zemtsov has expertise in Dermatopathology and treatment of complex and challenging dermatology problems.
Dr. Zemtsov enjoys research in his spare time. He is founder of the (ISDIS) International Society of Digital Imaging of the Skin and is also Editor and Chief of the Skin Research and Technology Journal.
Dr. Alexander Zemtsov MD, M.Sc., FAAD, became interested in EMU Oil research and its unique beneficial effects on the skin. Dr. Zemtsov conducted a controlled, scientific research program that confirmed that Emu Oil is non-irritating and has excellent moisturizing and skin penetrating properties without clogging the pores. The results of his study have been peer-reviewed and published in medical journals. Dr. Zemtsov has 3 Patents for his products in Emu Oil and has developed a cosmetic line that is sold in our office and online.
