Dr. Monto is an experienced researcher who has co-authored many original articles related to hepatitis C and liver disease and its complications. He has also taught university medical students, residents, and gastroenterology fellows for more than two decades, with his teaching recognized by UCSF teaching awards, and remains an active clinical gastroenterologist and hepatologist.
