- Alexander M. Le, MD is a Vascular and Interventional Radiologist in Los Angeles County, California. He performs a wide variety of interventional procedures ranging from image-guided biopsies, drains, dialysis access, and central venous access port catheters. His oncologic interventions include trans-arterial chemo-embolization (TACE) of malignant liver tumors and microwave ablation of malignant renal/liver tumors. He treats benign tumors such as liver adenomas, renal angiomyolipomas (AMLs), uterine fibroids, or uterine arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) using bland particle, glue, or coil embolization. He can place transjugular intra-hepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) endoprosthesis into the liver and other related procedures for treatment of symptomatic portal hypertension. He can treat poor wound healing from peripheral vascular disease with arterial angioplasty and stenting. He treats peripheral arterial thrombosis causing acute limb ischemia (ALI) with thrombolysis and thrombectomy. He treats symptomatic pulmonary embolism (PE) of the pulmonary arteries and deep venous thrombosis (DVT) of the IVC or lower extremity veins with thrombolysis and thrombectomy. He treats symptomatic leg swelling that is caused by narrowing of central and/or peripheral veins with venoplasty. He reads and interprets a high-volume of radiographs (x-ray), ultrasounds, computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance (MR) imaging studies.
