- Dr. Hersel believes in a lifelong approach to the management of chronic pain. As the founder of PMIR Medical Center, he works closely with all of the healthcare professionals on your team to maximize the efficacy of your treatment. Dr. Hersel employs some of today’s most leading-edge procedures in the management of chronic pain, including using Botox® for tension headaches, migraines, muscle spasms and back pain. He also performs interventions that include epidural steroid injections, facet blocks, nerve root blocks, morphine spinal pump implants and discography. He is nationally recognized as one of the few highly trained physicians performing Spinal Cord Stimulator Implants for failed back surgery syndrome, and is one of the most experienced doctors in Southern California to use the technology.
