- Dr. Alex Golec is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and attending physician in the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at Johns Hopkins University. He is triple-board-certified in pediatrics, adolescent medicine, and addiction medicine. Dr. Golec received his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and completed residency in pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He then completed subspecialty training in adolescent medicine at the University of California, San Francisco and at Nationwide Children's Hospital, and in addiction medicine at The Ohio State University. His clinical and research interests include adolescent substance use and academic addiction medicine, adolescent and young adult primary health, LGBTQ+ health, medical education, and eating disorders.
