• Alex Wang, MD, is a primary care family medicine and sports medicine physician who loves taking care of patients of all ages and backgrounds. He takes pride in building strong, collaborative relationships with his patients and spending the time to truly get to know them. Dr. Wang is passionate about helping patients navigate the healthcare system, empowering them with the information they need to understand their health and make healthy decisions.
  
  With a special interest in preventive care, mental health, and sports medicine, Dr. Wang performs a variety of procedures including skin incision & drainage, biopsies, ultrasound-guided joint injections, platelet rich plasma (PRP), and prolotherapy. He is also committed to LGBTQ+ health and prescribes pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for patients.
  
  Dr. Wang holds a degree in integrative biology from University of California, Berkeley, and earned his medical degree from St. George’s University. He completed his family medicine residency at Rush Copley Medical Center and his sports medicine fellowship at University of Texas, Tyler. Originally from Taiwan, Dr. Wang is fluent in Chinese. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys running, hiking, trying new restaurants, and traveling.
