- We are Pacific Neuropsychiatric Specialists (PNS) and our experience enables us to offer effective outpatient, individualized, psychiatric care.
We treat a great number of mental health disorders, and provide the highest level of psychiatric care available anywhere. Our outpatient psychiatry practice was founded on the principles of treating patients with care, compassion, respect and understanding.
We provide psychiatric treatments for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, from multiple offices located throughout Orange County (2 offices in Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, 2 offices in Orange, Mission Viejo, Santa Ana and Anaheim).
Alejandro Alva, MD, is the founder, chief medical officer, and CEO of Pacific Neuropsychiatric Specialists (PNS). He sees psychiatric patients of all ages at the practice’s at most of our locations, with a focus on substance abuse and chemical dependency treatment as well as general psychiatric disorders.
To keep up with the latest advancements in psychiatric care, Dr. Alva maintains active membership in a number of professional medical organizations, including the American Medical Association, the Orange County Medical Association, the American Psychiatric Association, and the California Psychiatric Association, as well as multiple others.
He is also a member of several specialty organizations and boards, including the American Board of Forensic Medicine, the American College of Forensic Examiners, and the American Board of Psychopharmacology.
Like most of the PNS staff, Dr. Alva is bilingual and bicultural. He believes that it is his duty to reach out to the Latino community as well as to the community at large with providers and staff members who are multilingual and multicultural in an environment which is dignified and caring.
