Summary
- Advocate for pediatric patients within Lilly and help teams and functions figure out how to generate data via clinical trials and extrapolation so that pediatric patients may benefit from drugs and biologics we develop. Have developed expertise in pediatric drug development, pediatric bioethics, health policy related to pediatric drug development, and pediatric drug safety. The long and winding road of my career has always been interesting, never boring, and forever challenging. I sometimes joke that I am one of the more influential child psychiatrists working in areas outside of child psychiatry because I work on everything from oncology to diabetes to immunology to pain to covid to bioethics and more.
Currently am medical lead for a small pediatric capabilities function and co-chair our pediatric steering committee and am also a member and past chair of Lilly's bioethics advisory committee. I will be transitioning these responsibilities soon to others as I prepare to retire from Lilly at the end of 2021.
Prior to my work in pediatric drug development and bioethics, I spent10 years on and leading global development teams for drugs to treat ADHD and related disorders.
