- Dr. Alan Heldman is a interventional cardiologist who graduated from Harvard College and the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Medicine, and trained in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology at Johns Hopkins University. His academic career at Johns Hopkins and at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine included pre-clinical and clinical development of drug eluting stents, early clinical development of interventional techniques for structural heart disease, and techniques for prevention of procedural complications. No longer practicing, he is investigating digital health technology and writing "Thinking About Your Own Health."
