Overview of Dr. Goyal
Akshay Goyal, M.D., is a double board-certified pain management physician at Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute. Dr. Goyal specializes in pain management and anesthesiology with extensive experience in neuromodulation techniques for a variety of pain syndromes.
Prior to joining Miami Neuroscience Institute in 2022, Dr. Goyal was an assistant professor in anesthesiology and pain medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He served as chief resident during his anesthesiology residency at Boston Medical Center.
Dr. Goyal is a chapter author for OK to Proceed, a textbook that focuses on patient safety in the perioperative setting. He is a member of the Spine Intervention Society, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, American Society of Pain and Neuroscience, North American Neuromodulation Society and American Society of Anesthesiologists.
Dr. Goyal’s goal is to provide evidence-based, compassionate care for each patient. He explains multiple options, using cutting-edge techniques to treat each unique condition with the goal of maximizing quality of life.
When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Goyal enjoys spending time with family, traveling, reading and listening to podcasts.
