Summary

• Ahmad R Khan is an Adult Psychiatrist at the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine. He received his medical degree from “Services Institute of Medical Sciences, Pakistan” in 2012. He then completed his psychiatry residency at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
  
  He received Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) training and certification during his residency. He served as the American Psychiatric Association, Resident Fellow Member representative for North Dakota.
  
  His clinical interests include Treatment-Resistant Schizophrenia, depression, Neuromodulations, Clozapine, LAI antipsychotics, Medication-Assisted Treatment for substance abuse, and Borderline Personality Disorders.
  
  He has a passion for increasing mental health awareness in developing countries. He has been involved in different activities, including Facebook/Instagram live sessions, writing articles for local newspapers, and running various social media initiatives.
  
  He is currently interested in addressing the barriers to Clozapine use by starting a “Clozapine Clinic” for Carilion Clinic Psychiatry Residents. He is also in the process of becoming eligible to apply for the Addiction Medicine Board by the “Practice Pathway.”
