Aditya Khurana MD

Summary

• My name is Aditya, but I go by Ditty. I'm currently a third year medical student, part of the inaugural class at the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine - Arizona Campus. My journey so far has been a series of small steps forward and a myriad of self discovery. I'm trying to find my niche in healthcare that energizes me and gives me a chance to co-create something better with my peers. I'm learning to act on my "Aha!" moments.
  
  Along with being a medical student, I was fortunate enough to be awarded a grant from the Mayo Clinic to design AI/NLP solutions for the patient portal in the electronic health record (EHR). I'm working with NLP researchers across the enterprise to push things forward. In an effort to build up my right brain, I'm also learning how to use and teach design thinking at the Care Collaboratory, a network of healthcare leaders and innovators that aspire to redesign healthcare while keeping the human at the center of it. I'm considering a career in radiology, with an interest in further specializing into interventional radiology. My goal is to be able to contribute to the eventual redesign of healthcare.
  
  Other than that, you'll find me trail running through the mountain preserves across Phoenix, cycling wherever there's a bike lane available, and queuing up new albums to build my latest Spotify playlist.
  
  I know it's been a good day when I have more energy by the end of it.
