Summary
- I a practicing Pediatric Hematologist and Oncologist with Baylor College of Medicine - Christus Children's Hospital in San Antonio. I served as a founding Associate Program Director of the Pediatrics Residency Training Program at the Children's Hospital, and in 2022 became Program Director. In 2020 I also accepted a role as Assistant Dean of Education for our satellite site, coordinating efforts across the educational continuum with the educational administration at the BCM-Houston campus.
My passion is for improving how we communicate with patients and their families, and work to teach communication skills to our training physicians. My current areas of scholarly focus include medical education, faculty development, pediatric hematology, and pediatric vascular anomalies.
