- Dr. Cavallero earned his undergraduate degrees in Biology and Business & Economics from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California, graduating with Magna Cum Laude honors. He then earned a medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Mexico and New York Medical College, where he was named Chief of the Fifth Pathway Program at Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island, New York. Finally, he completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (Fresno campus) where he was awarded senior resident of the year in 2012. After residency, Dr. Cavallero began his career practicing primary care outpatient medicine at the Sansum Clinic as well as hospitalist medicine at Lompoc Valley Medical Center. Dr. Cavallero joined the UCLA faculty in August of 2015 and is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine.
Dr. Cavallero is a compassionate physician who is a strong advocate for his patients and their families. He feels blessed that others have entrusted their health to him and strives to provide superior care by using his internal medicine training to diagnose and treat complex conditions utilizing a multidisciplinary approach.
When not in the office, Dr. Cavallero enjoys spending time with his precious family, teaching medical students, and participating in medical missions to help the underserved.
Dr. Cavallero is fluent in Spanish and board certified in internal medicine.
